Helping you grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ
Knowing Jesus exists to help you grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18). Scripture calls every believer to delight in God’s Word, to meditate on it day and night, and to be shaped by it (Psalm 1:1–3). This website provides ready-to-begin Bible studies—simple, structured guides designed to remove the burden of planning so you can begin meeting God in His Word today.
Our desire to know Christ begins with God’s own declaration of His love for His people. In Isaiah 43 the Lord speaks with tender, covenantal affection:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine… Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.” - Isaiah 43:1, 4 (ESV)
If this is how Christ loves us—redeeming us, calling us by name, declaring us precious and honored—then we should long to know Him more. And because Jesus is the Word made flesh, the eternal Son through whom God reveals Himself, we come to know Him by His revealed Word, the Scriptures. To know the Word is to know Christ; to behold the Scriptures is to behold the glory of the One who says, “You are mine.”
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells the great story of God’s glory and His redeeming work to dwell with His people—the very people He formed for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). From this story flows the Christian life: the life of faith, hope, and love, the life of joy, peace, and righteousness, the life of knowing and loving and serving and worshiping the God who is love. Because of this, every study on Knowing Jesus is designed to make daily time in Scripture consistent, accessible, and clear. Each study follows a simple, biblical framework that guides you into meaningful time with God while keeping the focus on His Word, His Son, and His glory.
Each study on this website is shaped around four rhythms that Scripture commends for every believer. These are not rigid rules, but grace-filled practices that draw the heart toward Christ.
“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
— Matthew 6:6 (ESV)
Every day in God’s Word begins with prayer. Before reading or studying, we seek the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to illumine the Scriptures, teach us what He has for us, and shape how we walk in the day ahead. Jesus modeled this dependence — rising early to pray (Mark 1:35), withdrawing for fellowship with the Father (Luke 5:16), and teaching His disciples how to pray (Matthew 6:9–13). Prayer is where we bring our needs and burdens to the Lord, but it is also where we give thanks, offer praise, and worship God for who He is. It prepares our hearts for time in His Word and aligns us with His presence and purposes.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)
Reading Scripture is the foundation of every study. Because all Scripture is breathed out by God, it carries His authority, His truth, and His wisdom for our lives. The Bible is His complete revelation (Revelation 22:18–19), fully sufficient to teach, correct, and train His people in righteousness. Each study includes dedicated days of reading so you can hear from God directly — allowing His Word to shape your understanding, strengthen your faith, and equip you for every good work.
“Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”
— Acts 17:11 (ESV)
Study deepens our grasp of God’s truth. Like the Bereans, who examined the Scriptures daily with eagerness and discernment, believers are called to explore God’s Word carefully and thoughtfully. Each Bible study includes days set aside for deeper study — whether through working through entire books of the Bible or exploring specific theological or biblical themes. As you progress through your reading plan, this focused study helps you see how the unity of Scripture reveals God’s character, His promises, and His redemption in Christ.
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
— Psalm 1:1–2 (ESV)
Meditation allows God’s truth to be planted deeply in the heart. Each study intentionally builds the final two days of every week around writing out what the Spirit has taught you — reflecting on the passages you have read, studied, and prayed through. Specific Scripture selections are provided each week to guide this time of dwelling on truth. As Psalm 1 shows, meditation is not emptying the mind but filling it with God’s Word, letting it shape desires, form affections, and lead to obedient joy in Christ.
Scripture tells us that Jesus is the eternal Word of God who “became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1–14). To know Him, we must spend intentional time in His Word. As truth enters the mind and settles into the heart, the Spirit uses it to produce joy, holiness, and worship — not merely academic understanding, but transformed lives that reflect His glory.
Knowing Jesus exists for this purpose:
To help you meet Christ in His Word, grow in grace, delight in truth, and walk daily in the joy of knowing Him.
